We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sports Trader to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Sports Trader, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing market trends, setting competitive odds, managing risk exposure, and executing trades effectively. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and be part of a forward-thinking company at the forefront of the DFS industry.
Main Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, odds movements, and relevant data to inform trading decisions.
Setting Odds: Utilize comprehensive factors such as team/player performance, injuries, historical data, and external influences to set accurate and competitive odds for various sports events.
Risk Management: Monitor and manage risk exposure associated with sports betting activities, including setting appropriate limits, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Trading Execution: Execute trades efficiently to maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Developing Trading Strategies: Develop and refine trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and optimize trading outcomes.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to junior traders and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Customer Engagement: Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to provide insights and recommendations for customer engagement strategies and promotional activities.
Performance Analysis: Analyze trading performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement measures to enhance trading efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Proven experience in sports trading or bookmaking, with a deep understanding of sports betting markets and dynamics.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets to make informed decisions.
Excellent risk management capabilities and experience in implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in trading platforms and software, with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
