I am looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join a great online game developer company and to work remotely from Germany, Malta or Austria. The role is permanent and full time. The ideal candidate must be a native German speaker. 

You do that:

  • You will take over the technical management of the QA team, which consists of software testers and QA engineers. 
  • You drive increasing automation in testing, define clear goals for a high degree of automation and ensure that these are implemented efficiently and effectively. 
  • You support the team in creating and maintaining test cases, test frameworks as well as manual and automated tests. 
  • You work closely with development teams to improve test coverage, quality and developer experience and to integrate testing earlier in the software development process. 
  • You support the introduction of best practices in the areas of code health, testability and maintainability. 
  • You ensure continuous improvement of the QA processes and define clear quality goals and metrics. 
  • You define goals and key results for the QA team, create plans to achieve the goals and communicate them to technical management. 

That´s you:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or comparable training.  
  • You have at least 6 years of direct QA testing experience, ideally in game development, including at least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership position.  
  • You have excellent knowledge of the entire software development cycle, including quality assurance methods and techniques. 
  • You have solid knowledge of TypeScript, Git and modern web technologies.   
  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills to lead a team effectively. 
  • You are able to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and work areas. 
  • You are characterized by a very independent way of working, have a passionate attitude to your work and define quality as the key to success. 
  • You bring a proactive, positive and committed attitude that can thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • You have very good written and spoken German and English skills.
