I am looking for an Automation QA Engineer with backend performance testing experience. The role can be fully remote from Europe and hybrid in Dubai.
This role will support the continued development of our CI pipeline and contribute to testing across web, desktop, and native SDKs, as well as performance testing of our backend systems. As we build solutions to meet the needs of our customers in a regulatory environment, the quality of our products is more important than the breadth of functions that we deliver. We are looking for someone who will advance our QA frameworks and who has a passion for delivering products at the highest level of quality.
What you will be doing:
- Advance test automation and test engineering practices, including aspects of ‘software development in test’
- Read, write, and debug code in complex programs. Support the refactoring of existing test frameworks and encourage other team members to do the same.
- Advance the use and reuse of a broad range of tools, including both open-source and cloud-based.
- Advance the delivery of test engineering, typically using agile and CI/CD methods including influencing how the teams develop user stories and acceptance criteria
- Write and execute automation tests and develop comprehensive automation suites, including performance testing
- Peer review code and contribute to continuous improvement
- Work in a continuous delivery environment
- Work closely with your colleagues in a cross-functional team
What we are looking for:
- 6+ years experience in QA
- Hands-on test experience within agile projects with a strong understanding of Sprint, CI & release testing life cycles.
- Experience in functional testing, including regression and smoke testing
- Automation experience and the ability to specify, develop, and implement automated tests/frameworks. Knowledgeable in industry best practices for test automation.
- Experience in conducting performance testing to ensure system reliability and scalability.
- Cloud environments. Amazon AWS preferred
- On-demand testing tools such as Postman, Charles Proxy, Chrome Console, Curl;
- Automation using tools such as Git, Java, TestNG, Appium, Selenium, Rest Assured, and SauceLabs
- Issue tracking tools such as Jira
- Ability to be proactive in managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage, and execution.
- Ability to define and advise on test scope, approach, risks, and assumptions across DevOps and agile testing.
- Reporting on scenarios tested to clients or regulatory bodies
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Experience with databases is a plus
