Kubernetes Specialist – Azure Cloud
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute full-scale migrations of applications to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Optimize Kubernetes clusters for high availability, security, and efficiency.
- Design and manage multi-cluster, multi-region AKS deployments with advanced networking.
- Develop automation solutions, custom controllers, and Kubernetes operators.
- Implement service mesh technologies to enhance microservices communication and security.
- Enforce Kubernetes security policies, including RBAC, network policies, and container runtime security.
- Ensure compliance with Azure security best practices for Kubernetes workloads.
- Work closely with developers to support Kubernetes configurations, Helm charts, and Kustomize overlays.
- Promote GitOps methodologies to enable development teams to manage their deployments efficiently.
- Advocate for best practices in CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
Desired Experience:
- 5+ years of experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong expertise in AKS cluster design, networking, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with blue/green deployments, node pool strategies, and workload optimization.
- Proficiency in Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, and scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Deep understanding of Azure networking, identity management, and Kubernetes security.
- Experience managing AKS deployments with GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor is a plus.
- Exposure to policy enforcement tools like Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper is beneficial.
