Software Development Team Lead - Malta - Hybrid.

My Client is an online payment services provider with 20 years of experience in the industry. 

They provide a feature rich online payment service platform to supports the needs of both new and established businesses in the e-commerce and online space.

We are looking for Java Developers to work hybrid (flexible model).

Location:  Malta 
Budget: Circa €60k 

They will have the chance to engage in the development of both current and upcoming products and features, contributing to the design and construction of applications.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Leads and guides a team of 4 Software Developers throughout the development life cycle.
• Assists the team in comprehending both business and technical requirements.
• Serves as a central point of reference for team members and other stakeholders, particularly within architecture and cross-functional development teams.
• Actively participates in analysis and design activities.
• Upholds and promotes best practices in development.
• Contributes to the recruitment process for potential team members.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Possesses over 5 years of experience as a Java Software Developer, with a preference for prior experience in leading or mentoring a software development team.
• Proficient in object-oriented design methodologies, database technologies, and possesses an understanding of web technologies.
• Demonstrates expertise in designing and delivering utilizing technologies such as the Spring Framework (core, MVC, integration, ORM), JMS (ActiveMQ), Hibernate ORM, MySQL, and standalone Java services.
• Proficient in Linux usage, with the ability to troubleshoot system-level issues.
• Familiarity with build automation tools like Maven, source control tools, and bug tracking software.
